Seriously avoid this place unless of course it is for a sports injury or drug/alcohol abuse.

Arrived with suspected broken foot. Friendly and professional throughout visit with well coordinated process from intake, diagnosis, X-ray, consultation to cast & crutches. Then off to cashier and out the door with prescription in hand. Top shelf crew!

I have unfortunately had to come to this facility more often than I would have liked. I am chronically ill due to complications from a surgery I had when I was 2 days old on my upper gastrointestinal system.

I have also overheard staff discussing patients outside of work to non hospital staff on more than one occasion.

I was also misdiagnosed for an ectopic pregnancy at this hospital and would have died if I had not gone to another ER where I was admitted and received emergency surgery. I attempted to contact the doctor to let her know she misdiagnosed me and never heard back from her even though I had left a message with reception.

They provided me a dirty vomit receptacle and proceeded to question why I was there, if I am already seeing a specialist what could they possibly do. They treated me like I was drug seeking instead of a patient who was suffering and unable to take pain killers oraly or up the bum without causing bleeding.

Unless you have a sports injury or are suffering from drug or alcohol abuse do NOT go to this hospital.

This I had to explain a few times as if they were ignorant of the fact that most pain killers and anti inflammatory medicine causes irritation to an already irritated gastro system...

My son was seen after a bike accident. The staff were excellent and after contact with the trauma center at VGH in Vancouver my son was airvac'ed to Vancouver which saved his life. He lost his spleen and was very unstable when we arrived in Vancouver, having lost over half of his blood volume. If they had elected to send him by ambulance the result may have been much different. Thank you so much for your care.

I was there for 3 hours tonight because I have a partial blockage in my small intestine which causes pain, nausea, diarrhea and vomiting and in that time no one cleaned the toilet that had been destroyed by someone vomiting. The staff was too busy talking about their personal life and complaining about their job being too busy (4 nurses, 1 doctor, 3 patients at the time) and talking about how they are good at turning patients away after hours because they are tired while still complaining about having to "fight" for shifts.
