    Unfortunately, I had a poor experience with the town Plaza Medical center and wished I had just gone to the Whistler Health Care Centre despite the much higher cost. Initially, I felt good about the doctor who looked at my snowboard injury, she sent me over for x-rays at the Whistler Hospital and I was told they would follow up and did not need to come back. The follow up took multiple days despite me calling and making 3 additional trips to the clinic with still no closure on the diagnosis. Multiple days going by with me not knowing or being able to find out was really unnerving given the pain I was in. One receptionist said the doctor left a message but I was never able to locate on my cell or at my hotel. I do respect the fact it is possible they were not able to reach my US phone, however at the same time when I didn't hear back, I called and followed up in person and still was not able to get answers. Additionally, the front desk staff was not friendly and its clear there is not good communication within their practice for ensuring the best possible follow through.

    I took my 5 month old son to the medical centre today and the doctor could not have been nicer. For what turned out to be a standard cough, he took the time to discuss what was causing it fully with my husband and me, told us signs he looks for with babies and even suggested I listen to my baby's lungs. All of this with a genuine intention of educating us as new parents without making us feel like we were wasting his time, despite him being very busy. Thank you

    My experience with this medical clinic was thoroughly underwhelming and I cannot stress enough the extent to which I would discourage any potential patient from booking an appointment. The women I first talked to on the phone provided false promises about the capacity of the clinic, acting in a manner which seemed more interested in getting home than providing medical care. Once I arrived at the centre, the secretary was dismissive, apathetic and cantankerous. She spent more time complaining about her computer system than dealing with my requests. Once I saw the doctor, who was twenty five minutes late, he informed me that the assurances I had received from the secretary were erroneous. He continued to explain that he could not help me and, in fact, was not an employee of the clinic at all but was simply covering for a day due to staffing shortages. I left the clinic spent a few days pondering how my time and money which had been wasted by this establishment before returning to ask for both a refund and an apology. I talked to a new secretary, requesting some compensation for my maltreatment but he nonchalantly told me that my requests were insurmountable. Consequently, I asked for a contact number or email to reach the manager but again the secretary said he was unable to fulfil my requests.

    I have talked to other past patients, all of whom were equally appalled by the service provided by the clinic. This consensus of disappointment has led me to writing this review; with intentions not of venting my indignation but as an attempt to save other potential patients of similar chagrin.

    TOTAL RIPOFF. I was charged $175 to see the doctor because I'm not canadian. Had to wait an hour. Saw the doctor for 5 minutes and she told me to just put ice on my hurt shoulder.
