  I recently developed ocular symptoms which, I was aware, could potentially mean a retinal tear. I presented to the clinic ASAP and explained my concerns to the lady at reception. She was extremely helpful and, although I had no appointment, she arranged for me to be seen within the hour. I subsequently underwent what I consider to be an extremely thorough assessment by Dr Mindy Blumberg - including retinal imaging - and she was able to reassure me that there was no significant issue and that I could continue with my ski vacation. This was a huge relief and saved me from terminating my holiday prematurely.

  Horrible experience. Years ago I had to prepay for an eye examine to get an emergency set of contacts. Now...3 years later I call to book an examine and was told they would not honor the $100 deposit as the business was sold last year. My thought is the any deposits and gift certificates should have been included in the sale and honored

  Cindy Wagner, optometrist, was able to resolve problems with contacts that my previous optometrist could not. Her examination and testing could not possibly be more thorough.

  I cannot recommend Whistler Eye Clinic, Dr. Wagner and her staff more highly. I have risk factors for retinal detachment. First day on the slopes, 2nd run, I had a bad fall. Hit my head twice. While I was wearing a helmet, thankfully, I still jarred my eye enough that a large floater appeared and then some flashing. I call my opthamologist at home and he said to see someone immediately. The health clinic doesn't offer opthamology but luckily I found Whustler Eye Clinic. I was at their front door when they opened Monday morning. I had no appointment but was warmly welcomed and treated like I had been a patient forever. Dr Wagner examined me thoroughly, and her staff ran a series of scans with state-of-the art equipment. She put together a complete report, along with all the digital images, and sent them off to my eye doctor that very morning! The clinic had a busy day that day but made time to treat me with skill, respect and true caring...it doesn't get any better than that.
